Abstract
The technology development has been growing rapidly in the last view years, but in another hand it also brings positive and negative impacts. One of the negative impacts is data security. Since not all data can be accessed by everyone, so it is necessary to secure the data. One of the methods that can be used to overcome this problem is using steganography. Steganography hides secret message by inserting it to another media. This research uses parity coding method to hide text insert into audio WAV file. Parity coding makes region from audio as many as the inserted message, then finds the parity value from each region and it will be compared to the real message. Lastly, testing will be done to know the quality of audio (fidelity) by calculating Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) percentage and the consummation of redefined inserted message (Recovery-Robustness). From fidelity testing, we can conclude that the bigger the size of inserted message into the same audio, the SNR percentage is decreasing and the bigger the audio capacity (assuming the inserted message is same), so the signal to noise ratio percentage is increasing. By using parity coding method obtained that SNR percentage is good enough, which is above 70%, although the ratio of message which inserted to audio is maximal, it is approximately 6,02%. Beside it, from recovery-robustness testing it can be known that the result is success in treatment without change, yet failed in treatment with change. The result was done in both manipulation recoveries testing with format changing and cropping.
